The EUNICoast Alliance held its in-person Steering Committee meeting at Burgas Free University, bringing together representatives from partner universities for two days of intensive discussions, strategic planning, and community engagement.
Strategic discussions and Year 2 planning
Day 1 focused on the strategic vision for Year 2, including presentations from Work Package leaders, cross-Work Package coordination, and a keynote contribution from Marcela Iglesias Onofrio (SEA-EU Alliance Director). The exchanges allowed the alliance to refine its priorities, align its Joint Strategic Initiatives (JSIs), and define a shared roadmap for the upcoming year.
Financial sustainability and Commission guidance
Day 2 was dedicated to financial planning and sustainability, including a virtual intervention from Anna Zaremba, Project Officer of the European Commission, who provided guidance on expenditure targets, long-term impact, and sustainability strategies. Partner universities then worked together on financial alignment to ensure an effective and coordinated implementation of Year 2 activities.
EUNICoast now moves forward with renewed energy, clear objectives, and strengthened collaboration,
ensuring a solid foundation for the next phases of the project.
