It was a working visit focused on some specific areas of cooperation. The Rector of Stralsund University of Applied Sciences met with His Magnificence the Rector of the West Pomeranian University of Technology, Prof. Arkadiusz Terman and the Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, Prof. Karol Fijałkowski. The guest also visited the International Cooperation Department.
During the meeting, the parties discussed areas of cooperation for the coming years. Particular attention was paid to plans to jointly organise master’s degree programmes and to strengthen student exchange between the universities.
Given the geographical proximity and location of both institutions, discussions also centred on the possibilities of establishing direct research contacts and undertaking joint activities to promote the start-up communities development. Another key topic of discussion were the prospects for carrying out joint projects involving funds available for Polish-German cross-border initiatives.
The meeting reaffirmed both universities’ shared commitment to developing international cooperation and strengthening relations in the border region, particularly within the framework of the EUNICoast initiative.
