Standards for the Protection of Minors at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin
In accordance with the statutory obligation under Article 21 of the Act of 13 May 2016 on Counteracting the Threat of Sexual Offences and the Protection of Minors, the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin has implemented the Standards for the Protection of Minors.
This document sets out a comprehensive framework of principles and procedures designed to ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for minors participating in activities organized by the University. It covers both the prevention of all forms of violence, discrimination, and social exclusion, as well as detailed procedures for identifying, reporting, and responding to potential risks, including suspected harm or abuse.
To ensure the safety and well-being of minors at the University, all employees, associates and individuals enrolled in educational programs at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin are required to comply with the Standards for the Protection of Minors.
The Rector of the West Pomeranian University of Technology has appointed a Representative for the Protection of Minors, who is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the University's Standards and coordinating appropriate actions in response to any reported threats. The Representative also verifies whether individuals involved in activities related to minors are listed in the Register of Sex Offenders.
