Success of the Children's Choir of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin 14.01.2020 11:46

The 41st International CHORUS INSIDE CHRISTMAS Competition in Budapest has ended. The Don Diri Don choir has won several prestigious awards.

The choir competed in three categories: sacred music and pop music, in which he received the Golden Diploma and folk music in which he got the highest score and the Grand Prix of the competition.

Don Diri Don also won additional awards, for the best choreography, for the high artistic level of the presented folk songs and the award for the best conductor. Monika Walczukiewicz, choir accompanist, received a diploma for a high level of expression and musical interpretation.

13 choirs from all over Europe took part in the competition, including Russia, Italy, Croatia, Hungary and Poland. The jury consisted of academics from Russia and Hungary. Auditions and concert of laureates took place in the KING ST. STEPHEN S Concert Hall in Budapest.

hildren’s Choir of the West-pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin was established in November 1990 from prof. Jan Szyrocki initiative. The artistic manager and conductor is Dariusz Dyczewski - rector of The Szczecin Art Academy.
