The National Science Centre announced the fourth winners list in MINIATURA 9 competition. On the list there is also the project of Malgorzata Blaszke, PhD from the Real Estate Department in the Faculty of Economics at ZUT.

The aim of research project entitled Socioeconomic and special determinants for the development of prosumer photovoltaic and wind installations in rural communities in Poland is to identify local conditions – economic, social, special and institutional – having impact on the pace and the scale in renewable energy sources implementation in rural areas. The research will lead to elaborate the typology of communes in terms of their potential and barriers in prosumer energetic development and indicate the factors supporting energetic transformation.

The results will form the basis for further in-depth interdisciplinary and applied research, and will also provide knowledge that can support local governments and public institutions in more effective planning and implementation of energy and climate policy. The project addresses current challenges related to the European Green Deal, rising energy costs and the pursuit of greater energy security for Poland. The amount of funding awarded is PLN 10,192.

It is worth noting that Malgorzata Blaszke PhD is exceptionally active in the field of science: she serves as secretary of the Legal and Urban Planning Team of the Committee for Spatial Development of the Polish Academy of Sciences and participates in the work of numerous international author teams, regularly publishing in Elsevier and Taylor Francis journals.
