Scholarships for outstanding young scientists were awarded 02.07.2026 09:36

Andrii Shekhovtsov M.Sc. a doctoral student of ZUT Doctoral School received a scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higer Education for outstanding young scientists.

This prestigious award is granted to individuals involved in scientific research and having significant scientific achievements. The awarded scholarship confirms the high quality of the conducted research, the current scientific achievements and the potential for further scientific development. It is worth emphasising that the scholarship holder from ZUT is one of the only three laureates with the title Master of Science representing the discipline information and communication technology.

Andrii Shekhovtsov M.Sc. is a research and didactic assistant in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. He develops his research work under the supervision of Wojciech Sałabun, Assist. Prof. in the Intelligent Decisions Support Systems Research Team.

He was the President of Szczecin scholarship holder and the laureate of the Minister of Science and Higer Education scholarship for significant scientific achievements for students, he also took an active part in the projects financed by the National Science Centre (NCN) and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR), awarded also ZUT Rector’s Grant 2026.

He is an author or a co-author of over one hundred scientific publications. In the last year’s World's Top 2% Scientists Ranking he was listed among the most frequently cited scientists in the world on the list comprising citations ranking for the year 2024.
