Among 34 people recognized for significant achievements in teaching activities there was the Vice-Dean for Organization and Development of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at ZUT, Head of the Department of Electrical Machines and Drives, Marcin Wardach, PhD, DSc. Assoc. Prof.
Professor Marcin Wardach is a specialist in the field of electrical machines and drives. He has published over 70 scientific articles and has reviewed over 35 articles in Journal Citation Reports (JCR). A co-author of four patents, has worked in numerous research and development projects (including National Science Centre, Interreg, RPO and projects realised with mPower Sp. z o.o.). He is a co-creator of a prototype, energy efficient, permanent magnets electric motor with a broad speed control. He is also awarded the prestigious West Pomeranian Nobel 2025 for developing, designing and construction of an electric motor for a hybrid drive in carbon free recreational craft.
Professor Wardach is an active leader in electrical engineering community: as editor-in-chief of INPE journal (Informacje o Normach i Przepisach Elektrycznych) since 2021, one of the most important Polish industry periodical in the field of electrical engineering, a member of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers (SEP) and a president of its Szczecin Branch in term 2022-2026 – for the merits for SEP Association awarded Silver (2011) and Golden Badge (2016), a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Electrical Engineering (PTETiS).
As academic teacher professor Wardach promoted over 100 graduates (Master’s and Bachelor’s) and currently he is supervising five doctoral students. He has for many years supported the most talented students – he was w mentor for three participants in the program ZUT School of Eagles, two student scientific groups operate in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering under his supervision, that is: the Polish Electrical Engineers (SEP) Academic Chapter (since 2010) and the IEEE Student Branch (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), supporting international cooperation and development of young engineers (since 2023).
