The CWUR ranking is recognized as the most reliable as, on the contrary to the majority of world academic rankings, Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) relies on the data collected by themselves not on questionnaires filled in by the universities.
Evaluators use methodology taking into account four main criteria: level of education/quality of education (25%), employment of graduates on top level positions in global enterprises (25%), quality of faculties within a unit (10%) and research results (altogether 40% of the assessment split by four separate parameters: scientific achievements, quality of publications, impact, citations).
Unchangeably, considered the best in the world are universities in the US: Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford. The fourth and the fifth places over the years belong to British universities: University of Cambridge and University of Oxford.
Among 40 Polish universities and research institutes ranked in the honorable group of 5% best universities on the podium over the years stay Jagiellonian University, University of Warsaw and University of Science and Technology in Krakow (AGH). Altogether in the first 1000 world best academic and research centres there are 8 institutions from Poland. Medical University in Wroclaw got the highest rank among Polish medical institutions of higher education.
The presence of our University in the most reliable academic ranking and maintaining 38. rank among the most renown Polish universities confirms the highest quality of scientific research conducted at ZUT and compatibility of our institution in terms of quality of education.
Ranking results are available on the cwur website.
