The project titled: “Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal biodiversity and functionality: from natural grasslands to agricultural sustainability” aims at characterizing structure and function of AGM (arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal) communities on arable and pasture land in China and Poland; describing the mechanisms of how agriculture affects symbiotic functions of AGM; inspecting the mechanisms of correlation between climate, environment, AGM communities structure and mycorrhizal functions in agricultural and pasture ecosystems, as well as creating the first transcontinental bank of AGM resources.
The project is carried out together with research team from Lanzhou University (China) managed by Liu Yong-Jun PhD.
The total amount of financing equals 1 573 885 PLN, including 750 056 PLN at the disposal of research team from ZUT.
