This distinction is awarded to outstanding scientists, who may boast of their extraordinary scientific achievements and authority in the academic community. In this year’s elections, 45 new correspondent members were selected from among national scientists. Candidates have been evaluated on the basis of their groundbreaking scientific achievements, participation in international research projects and their contribution to the education of successive generations of scientists.
The Polish Academy of Sciences brings together the most distinguished scientists in the country and from abroad. Becoming a member in its structures is one of the highest scientific honors in Poland.
