For the West Pomeranian University of Technology category A was assigned to one discipline, category B+ to twelve disciplines and category B to one discipline.
ZUT conduscts scientific and artistic activity in fourteen evaluated disciplines representing four fields of science: engineering and technical sciences, agricultural sciences, exact and natural sciences, social sciences and the field of arts.
Category A was assigned to:
- materials engineering.
Category B+ was assigned to:
- architecture and urban planning;
- automation, electronics, electrical engineering and space technologies;
- economisc and finance;
- information and telecommunication technology;
- chemical engineering;
- civil engineering, geodesy and transport;
- mechanical engineering;
- chemical sciences;
- agriculture and horticulture;
- fine arts and art conservation;
- food and nutrition technology;
- animal science and fisheries.
Category B was assigned to:
- environmental engineering, mining and energy.
In the evaluation the three essential criteria have been taken into consideration: scientific or artistic level of research activities, financial outcomes of research and development works and the impact of scientific activity on the functioning of society and economy. Subject to evaluation were, among others, publications and other scientific and artistic achievements, research projects, revenues from commercialization of scientific results and services, and also documented examples of the social and economic impact of the conducted research.
Scientific categories are of crucial importance for the University's operation. They are connected, among others, with the powers to create new study programmes independently, to conduct doctoral students education and to grant doctoral degrees and assistant professorships.
The evaluation results confirm a wide and interdisciplinary research capacity of ZUT. They are the outcome of a strong commitment of the whole university’s employees, doctoral students and research and artistic teams as well as the consistently developed collaboration with the social and economic environment.
