The President awarded professor degrees. Among the nominees Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng. Bartosz Powałka 14.01.2020 10:42
The head of the Department of Manufacturing Technology and a scientist from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin - Bartosz Powałka - received a professor nomination from the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda. During the ceremony, which took place on December 12, 2019, at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, 81 academic teachers as well as employees of the art and science received the nominations.
Most of the professors nominated on December 12 are from the University of Warsaw (6), the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (5), the Medical University of Gdańsk, the Medical University of Bialystok and the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (4).
Pursuant to Article 25 of the Act on Academic Degrees and Academic Title and the degrees and ranks in Art, the President of the Republic of Poland shall award the professor degrees to the employees of the art and science as well as academic teachers.
