ZUT was 9th in the list of technical universities and 31st in the overall ranking. The ranking was prepared by the Educational Foundation "Perspektywy" for the 22nd time.

Green hydrogen will help store electricity from RES and stabilize the gridEnea Operator, the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin and the University of Szczecin are involved in the innovative research project called H2Buffer. As a result, they will develop a system for storing energy and stabilizing the power grid, which will use green hydrogen produced from renewable energy sources (RES) installations. The project will also contribute to the development of renewable energy, including prosumer energy. H2Buffer is a practical example of how to use green hydrogen, which is called the fuel of the future.
21.06.2021Report on the digital accessibility of universities in Poland: ZUT is a strong leaderThe West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin was ranked first among the best universities in Poland in terms of digital accessibility. The report was prepared by the Wrocław agency Kinaole Solutions, which examined 50 websites of universities from all over Poland in terms of adapting them to people with various limitations. The Gdańsk University of Technology took second place and the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań came third.
21.06.2021A cooperation agreement with Grupa Azoty PolyolefinsWest Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin and Grupa Azoty Polyolefins have signed an agreement on cooperation regarding the practical training of the company's employees in the field of scientific and research services. At the university in Szczecin, the staff of the Production Department and the Department of Trade will participate in theoretical and laboratory classes conducted by research and teaching staff of ZUT.

Scientists from the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin contributed to the discoveryAfter almost 4 years of research, 63 scientists from 13 countries, including four from Poland, have decoded the rye genome. The international group includes researchers from the Department of Genetics, Plant Breeding and Biotechnology (Faculty of Environmental Management and Agriculture) – prof. Beata Myśków and prof. Stefan Stojałowski.

She replaced the milk with buttermilkPh.D. Katarzyna Szkolnicka from the Department of Toxicology, Dairy Technology and Food Storage (Faculty of Food Science and Fisheries) has developed a new ice cream recipe. Thanks to the use of buttermilk, their volume and airiness will increase. The new technology will also affect the taste and quality of the frozen dessert.
