West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin on the Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructure for the first time 17.02.2020 09:58

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has published a list of strategic research infrastructures creating the Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructure. The list included WPUT with the project - "Centre of Advanced Materials and Engineering of Manufacturing Processes". The map brings together infrastructures with the highest potential for scientific excellence, consolidating research potential in fields relevant to the development of science and the country.

The Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructure is created at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education every 4 years. Placing research infrastructure on this list is an expression of recognition of the research potential but does not yet guarantee fund to support a given project.

Projects that are on the map are more likely to apply for founding. The regulations state that at least half of the funds allocated to investments related to research are to be directed to projects from the map.

There are 70 infrastructures from all over Poland on the Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructure. 65 based on the positive recommendation of the advisory team and 5 solely in connection with existing international obligations of the Government of the Republic of Poland. After several years of efforts, the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin is on the map for the first time.
