17.02.2020Scientists from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics WPUT made replicas of 13th and 16th century sculptures using a CNC Milling MachineReplica of the 13th-century statue "Mary with the Child" from Gardno and the 16th-century bas-relief depicting the Apostles were made at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin using a CNC Milling Machine. The tool, usually used in industry, allowed to reproduce the smallest details of works of art.

14.01.2020The President awarded professor degrees. Among the nominees Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng. Bartosz PowałkaThe head of the Department of Manufacturing Technology and a scientist from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin - Bartosz Powałka - received a professor nomination from the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda. During the ceremony, which took place on December 12, 2019, at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, 81 academic teachers as well as employees of the art and science received the nominations.

The ranking lists of the OPUS 17 and PRELUDIUM 17 contest included over half a thousand projects worth PLN 390.3 million.
