Project of scientists from WPUT and Norway highly rated by the National Centre for Research and DevelopmentIn the POLNOR CCS competition, which focuses on the carbon dioxide capture and storage, 6 out of 17 submitted applications were selected. The Polish-Norwegian project coordinated by the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering WPUT received co-financing for a total amount of PLN 8 million, of which WPUT will receive nearly PLN 5 million. The maximum project implementation period is 3 years.

2.04.2020WPUT defeated Warsaw University of Technology in a construction challengeA team of four from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture WPUT are the finals of the international challenge "The Trail" organized by Vinci Construction - the largest construction company in the world. In the semi-final, WPUT beat two teams from the Warsaw University of Technology and qualified for the final, which will take place on May 28 in France. Due to the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic, the final will be conducted remotely.

17.02.2020Scientists from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics WPUT made replicas of 13th and 16th century sculptures using a CNC Milling MachineReplica of the 13th-century statue "Mary with the Child" from Gardno and the 16th-century bas-relief depicting the Apostles were made at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin using a CNC Milling Machine. The tool, usually used in industry, allowed to reproduce the smallest details of works of art.

The list included WPUT with the project - "Centre of Advanced Materials and Engineering of Manufacturing Processes". The map brings together infrastructures with the highest potential for scientific excellence, consolidating research potential in fields relevant to the development of science and the country.

Bartosz PowałkaThe head of the Department of Manufacturing Technology and a scientist from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin - Bartosz Powałka - received a professor nomination from the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda. During the ceremony, which took place on December 12, 2019, at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, 81 academic teachers as well as employees of the art and science received the nominations.
