Cronavirus disease outbreak risk. WPUT Rector College decision 12.03.2020 13:34

WPUT Rector College has decided to suspend all travels and visits of students, PhD students and employees to and from China, Hong Kong, South Korea, northern Italy (specifically to/from the area of Lombardy, Veneto, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna) and Lazio, Iran, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore. The decision is valid from 26 February 2020 untif further notice.


The decision was taken in connection with the announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued on 24 February 2020 ( and the WHO Public Health Emergency of International Concern declaration (, referring to coronavirus 2019-nCoV disease outbreak risk.

Should the WPUT employees, PhD students and students staying in the above mentioned countries decide to shorten their stay and express their wish to return to WPUT, please contact WPUT International Mobility Office (

Due to this situation being very dynamic, WPUT Rector College  calls for consulting the current reports on the 2019-nCoV virus before taking a decision to travel abroad. The world health services underline that it is difficult to predict the direction of the virus expansion.
