PhD student from the Faculty of Computer Science WPUT awarded in the Competition for the Award of the Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk for young scientists 15.06.2020 10:56

Aneta Bera, assistant at Department of Methods of Artificial Intelligence and Applied Mathematics, Faculty of Computer Science WPUT was recipient of the young scientist award for the best publication from 2019 in the field of technical sciences.

Aneta Bera wrote an article Constant-Time Calculation of Zernike Moments for Detection with Rotational Invariance published in IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON PATTERN ANALYSIS AND MACHINE INTELLIGENCE 2019. Co-authors are Przemysław Klęsk and Dariusz Sychel.

In this year's edition of the competition 68 applications were submitted, 14 in the category of technical sciences. The prize is awarded equally to five winners in the following fields: humanities and social sciences, biological and agricultural sciences, exact sciences and earth sciences, technical sciences and medical sciences.

The award is granted to scholars or PhD students of scientific institutions in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Pomeranian and West Pomeranian provinces for the original research achievement, published in the year preceding the submission of the application for the award.
