Medal and certificate of participation. Invitation to participate in Expo Sciences International in Mérida, Mexico in two years and to Lisbon at the 38th Youth Science Meeting in 2020.

On September 21-28, 2019, Expo Sciences International organized by MILSET in cooperation with ACTVET took place in Abu Dhabi. I went to Expo with the project "Recrystallization as a method of purification waste iron (II) sulfate". I received the accreditation of participation as a finalist of the National Scientific Competition E (x) plory 2018, which took place in Gdynia on October 24-26, 2018.

The event was attended by over 1,200 participants who presented about 700 projects from many STEM fields. The presentations lasted three days, during which we could talk to over 15,000 fair visitors. This are one of the largest science and technology fairs.

Poland was represented by three participants presenting three completely different projects. Although we come from different parts of Poland, the week in Abu Dhabi allowed us to get to know each other better. In addition, we had a chance to compare our projects with projects from all over the world. The visit was full of interesting meetings, in-depth discussions, sometimes even late into the night. ESI showed me many interesting perspectives that I can use after graduation. Once again, the project was warmly received not only among scientists and businessmen, but also among other participants.

Speaking of participants - each of us could get to know many other cultures with whom we do not always have contact. During Culture Night we watched the performances of delegations from various countries and we could try local delicacies at the delegation's stands. The organizers themselves also provided us with entertainment in the form of camel riding or learning traditional Arabic dances.

I think that the organizers stood up to the task, making each of us feel welcome. I was impressed by the level of hospitality of people from the Middle East and how volunteers took care of individual delegations. There is denying that, in addition to the presentation of the projects, we went to Abu Dhabi to learn about Arabic culture. The co-ordinators made it possible for us by organizing several trips. This way I could see the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which is staggering, as well as visit the oldest building in Abu Dhabi - Qasr Al Hosn fort. Thanks to the help of volunteers, we met a slightly less official part of Arab culture and we had the opportunity to bargain by visiting a traditional market.

During the closing gala of ESI, I had the opportunity to listen to plant breeding at the International Space Station lecture. In addition, each participant received a medal and certificate of participation. I was also invited to participate in Expo Sciences International in Mérida, Mexico in two years and to Lisbon at the 38th Youth Science Meeting in 2020.
