ZUT in the top 20 of the European Ranking of Engineering Programs - EngiRank. Materials Engineering on the podium 14.12.2020 10:15

We know the results of the European Ranking of Engineering Programs - EngiRank, which was prepared by the Educational Foundation "Perspektywy" in cooperation with the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE). The West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin was ranked 16th among 81 universities classified, the “by subject” discipline of Materials Engineering was ranked first in Poland and second in Central Europe.

EngiRank relies on indicators important for engineering education. The authors of the ranking used data from 15 criteria grouped into five categories: scientific effectiveness (20%), innovation (35%), quality of education (20%), prestige (5%) and internationalization (20%). The university-wide ranking compared 81 universities from 13 European countries (Poland, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Latvia, Malta, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania).

According to EngiRank, the best university turned out to be the Warsaw University of Technology. The second place was taken by the AGH University of Science and Technology. In the top twenty, the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin was ranked 16th.

Simultaneously with the main ranking, rankings in seven disciplines included in the "Engineering & Technology" (rankings by subject) were prepared.

The field of Materials Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics ZUT, was classified (together with the Warsaw University of Technology) in the second position among Central European universities and in the first place among 55 Polish universities included in the list.
